Technology has had and will continue to have a key role in the development of the Network Private Hire Group and in expanding the range of services we have to offer our customers.
We have a fully integrated central dispatch system with each system feeding their work into it. This will give us enhanced overall control, and will be a much more effecient system for handling complex customer requests which involve different divisions within the Group. This system was installed in 2005.
Another benefit will be that our telephone staff will have access to real time information with which to answer customer enqueries.
The new system will also give account customers an option to book cars directly via the internet, eliminating the possibility of being caught in a phone queue when you want to travel.
On the administration side we have completed the installation of a Windows Network and broadband connection to each workstation and an electronic billing option is now available to all customers. Admin can also deal with credit card payments and all major cards are accepted.
We have installed state of the art IVR 'Interactive Voice Response' system. It will automatically answer telephone calls from landlines only, enabling our customers to book their own taxis in as little as a second, and without even speaking to an operator. IVR is the future of call-taking; it enables you take more calls and, it operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
